Quick Facts
Pros
- Creating an account with Moneta Markets is simple and fast. The online registration process takes a few minutes and requires a minimum deposit of $50.
- Moneta Markets allows easy funding of accounts, offering a range of account currencies, no transfer fee, and diverse traditional, digital, and crypto-backed payment methods.
- Moneta Markets offers over 1000 tradable assets which include a substantial array of commodities and newly introduced index CFDs.
- The broker provides advantageous leverage rates up to 1:1000. This allows seasoned traders to enhance their positions and possibly boost their earnings.
- The ProTrader web platform, powered by TradingView, performed well in tests. It allows trading straight from charts and simple order modification with drag-and-drop features.
Cons
- Trading costs are usually reasonable, but index CFDs on US products such as the S&P 500 have higher spreads. IC Markets performed better in tests.
- The ECN Ultra account, which offers the most favorable prices, requires a $20,000 deposit. This makes it inaccessible for most regular traders.
- Clients require a minimum account balance of $500 to access our educational materials. This can be a disadvantage for beginners, as some brokers like IG and eToro offer similar resources for free.
- The TradingView-supported ProTrader is user-friendly but has some restrictions compared to the complete TradingView platform. Specifically, it does not include seconds or ranges in time frames, and traders cannot add community scripts.
- Despite ASIC regulation, trading with the Seychelles-based Moneta Markets may provide limited regulatory protection. Coupled with its short operational history, it isn't regarded as one of the most reliable brokers.
Regulation & Trust
Moneta Markets operates through three entities, each regulated differently depending on your location.
This includes the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC), which is considered a ‘top-tier’ regulator, and the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) of South Africa, a ‘middle-tier’ regulator.
Finally, there’s the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of the Seychelles, which is classified as a ‘bottom-tier’ regulator.
With less stringent regulation, you get access to higher leverage and deposit bonuses, which also means reduced client fund protection and oversight.
Nonetheless, Moneta Markets takes measures to ensure funds remain secure.
Trading funds are kept in segregated accounts, and negative balance protection safeguards you from losing more than you deposit due to extreme market movements.

Accounts & Banking
Live Accounts
Depending on your trading style and needs, Moneta Markets lets you choose between STP and ECN accounts.
The STP Direct account provides direct access to the interbank market without commissions, with spreads starting at 1.2 pips. With a $50 minimum deposit and no extra fees, it’s an excellent option for beginners or traders with smaller capital.
The ECN Prime account offers spreads on major assets starting from 0.0 pips, with prices automatically sourced from multiple liquidity providers. This setup is ideal for scalpers, active traders, and those using expert advisors. There’s a $3 commission per side per lot, and the minimum deposit is $50.
The ECN Ultra account delivers even tighter spreads with a low $1 commission, but it requires a $20,000 minimum deposit, making it more suited for high-volume traders and professionals.
Moneta Markets also offers a swap-free account for Islamic traders whose beliefs prohibit interest payments. Instead of interest, there’s a daily administration fee based on the account balance.
The broker also provides a PAMM account, ideal for money managers who want to manage multiple accounts without limitations.
Setting up my account with Moneta Markets was fast and fully digital—it took me less than five minutes to get started.
Demo Accounts
Moneta Markets lets you open a risk-free demo account on both MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and its own Pro Trader platforms, allowing you to practice without risking real money.
However, the demo account is only available for 30 days, which doesn’t feel long enough to thoroughly test strategies before switching to live trading.
This time limit feels restrictive compared to brokers like Vantage and AvaTrade, which offer unlimited demo accounts.
Deposits & Withdrawals
Moneta Markets makes it easy to deposit funds for free using wire transfer, credit card, debit card, FasaPay, JCB card, Sticpay, and crypto transactions.
You can choose from nine base currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, SGD, CAD, HKD, NZD, and BRL.
Wire transfers take two to five days, while other payment methods process instantly, making them much faster.
International wire transfers have a $20 minimum fee for withdrawing funds.
Other withdrawal methods take up to one business day, but wire transfers usually take longer.
Trading Promotions
When you deposit between $500 and $1,000, you can receive a 50% bonus.
If you deposit over $1,000, you get an additional 10%, up to a maximum of $20,000.
While you can’t withdraw the bonus itself, any profits go into your balance, and if you incur losses, they come out of deposited funds before affecting your trading credit.
If you deposit at least $500 and trade five forex lots per month, you also qualify for a free VPS service.
This is an excellent perk for running Expert Advisors (EAs) around the clock, ensuring faster execution and better uptime.

Assets & Markets
Moneta Markets gives access to over 1,000 instruments, including stocks, forex, and commodities, allowing you to trade a wide range of markets.
You can trade 56 currency and metal pairs, including EUR/USD, AUD/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, and XAU/USD, though this is about half of what Fusion Markets offers.
Commodities include over 15 options, such as natural gas, oil, and coffee.
Regarding cryptocurrencies, you can speculate on 43 different CFDs, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin.
Major global indices like the S&P 500, FTSE 100, and DAX are available for stock index CFDs, along with access to over 844 global stock CFDs.
You can also trade over 50 popular ETFs, such as VanEck Gold Miners and iShares Global Clean Energy.
Additionally, you can speculate on six bond CFDs, including UK Long Gilt Futures and US 10-year T-Note Futures.
One downside is that Moneta Markets doesn’t offer passive income options, like earning interest on uninvested cash.
eToro, for example, provides competitive interest, which makes a difference when looking to maximize capital.

Fees & Costs
Moneta Markets keeps its fees competitive across different account types, with varying costs depending on the instrument you trade.
Unlike many other platforms, it doesn’t charge for account maintenance, inactivity, or deposits, which helps you save on unnecessary expenses.
With an ECN account, you get spreads starting from 0.0 pips and low round-turn fees per lot on most assets.
When you tested EUR/USD, you could trade from 0.0 pips with a $3 commission per lot.
While this is slightly higher than Fusion Markets’ $2.25 commission per lot with zero spreads, Moneta Markets still offers a solid pricing structure.
If you use an STP account, spreads tend to be higher—EUR/USD averages around 1.56 pips.
However, since there are no commission fees, the overall cost structure balances out, making it a good option depending on your trading strategy.
There are no fees for US stock CFDs for stock trading.
UK and EU stocks also have no minimum commission, just 0.1% of the trade’s nominal value, which makes stock trading more affordable.
One drawback is the spreads on indices. The S&P 500 usually has a spread of 3.0 pips during US sessions, which is significantly higher than IC Markets‘ 0.2 pips.
