FXGT Review 2025
Why Trade With FXGT?
"FXGT, with its Optimus account, targets traders by offering high leverage of up to 1:5000. This allows for the potential of increased profits and losses, but with less regulatory protection."
Detailed Ratings
Quick Facts
Pros
- FXGT offers several platforms like MT4, MT5, and its own FXGT Trader, introduced in 2024, to accommodate different trading styles, including MetaTrader's automated trading with Expert Advisors (EAs).
- FXGT excels by offering access to over 30 popular cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin and Ethereum. This benefits traders looking to diversify into digital assets, providing an extra market beyond traditional forex and stocks.
- Five account types are available for different trading needs, including accounts for beginners and advanced traders. The Optimus account, originally for traders, now offers the highest leverage up to 1:5000, which can increase both profit and loss.
Cons
- FXGT is regulated by regional authorities like the Seychelles FSA and South Africa's FSCA, but it lacks licenses from top regulators such as the UK's FCA or Australia's ASIC. Therefore, traders might not receive the same level of investor protections, strict oversight, or dispute resolution mechanisms.
- FXGT provides some research, including a market analysis section and economic calendar, but these are not as comprehensive as those from brokers like IG. Traders seeking detailed analysis, in-depth reports, or third-party research will find FXGT's resources lacking.
- FXGT offers about 185 assets, which is limited compared to leading brokers like Saxo with 72,000+ instruments. FXGT lacks access to many international stocks.
Regulation & Trust
FXGT is a moderately trusted broker that has been around since 2019.
While it offers legitimate trading services, its regulatory oversight falls into the middle- and lower-tier categories, meaning it doesn’t have the same level of strict supervision as top-tier financial regulators.
FXGT is authorized to operate in South Africa, overseen by the FSCA, and classified as middle-tier in terms of regulation.
In Seychelles, it falls under the FSA, which is considered bottom-tier, offering looser oversight compared to more assertive global regulators.
The broker is also registered with financial authorities in Cyprus and Vanuatu, though these entities primarily cater to institutional or offshore clients rather than retail traders. Payment services are handled separately through another entity in Cyprus.
One thing that stands out is that FXGT lacks top-tier regulations from highly trusted authorities like the UK’s FCA and Australia’s ASIC, known for their stricter compliance and trader protections.
However, FXGT implements solid risk management measures, such as negative balance protection and segregated accounts, ensuring an added layer of security.
The broker also claims €1m liability insurance for all accounts, which is reassuring.
If trust and regulation are your top priorities, it might be worth exploring brokers that operate under higher regulatory standards for added peace of mind. IG and Interactive Brokers are great options here.

Accounts & Banking
Live Accounts
FXGT offers five different trading accounts, each catering to various trader needs.
While the variety is excellent for flexibility, beginners might feel overwhelmed by the options compared to brokers like eToro, which offers one type of account.
The Mini account is a good starting point for newcomers or those who prefer low-risk trading. A $5 deposit offers 1:1000 leverage and spreads starting from 1.0 pip. There are no commissions, but contract sizes are limited to 10,000. Promotions are available, which is a nice bonus.
The Standard+ account works for many traders, requiring a $10 minimum deposit. It has the same 1:1000 leverage and 1.0-pip spreads as the Mini account but allows larger contract sizes up to 100,000 with no commissions. It’s also eligible for promotions.
The ECN Zero account might be the best fit for short-term and algorithmic traders. It requires a $100 deposit, with spreads starting at 0.0 pips. A $3 commission per forex side applies, and this account does not qualify for promotions. One unique perk is that gold traders get a three-day swap-free period. Leverage is capped at 1:1000.
The PRO account is designed more for swing traders, requiring a $50 deposit. It balances no commissions with 0.5-pip spreads and 1:1000 leverage. While promotions aren’t available, certain assets have a six-day swap-free period.
Finally, the Optimus account launched in August 2024 is geared toward high-leverage day traders. It allows up to 1:5000 leverage, starting with a $10 deposit. Spreads begin at 0.8 pips, with no commissions. However, this account is only available on MT5 and doesn’t qualify for promotions. Most assets come with a two-day swap-free period.
Each account type has its strengths, so choosing the right one depends on your trading style and risk tolerance.
Demo Accounts
After completing full registration, opening an FXGT demo account was smooth, but I quickly noticed a limitation—I can only have two demo accounts.
This is frustrating, especially when I want to test multiple strategies across different platforms.
Setting up the account itself was simple, allowing me to select the account type, leverage, and currency.
However, adding funds feels tedious since it has to be done manually in $1,000 increments.
It would be much more convenient if FXGT streamlined this process to provide a better user experience.
Deposits & Withdrawals
FXGT provides various deposit and withdrawal options, though availability depends on location.
Credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, support USD, EUR, and JPY, with a $50 minimum deposit.
Processing is nearly instant, and there are no fees, which is a plus.
E-wallets like Bitwallet and Sticpay also accept USD, EUR, and JPY, while Neteller supports only USD and EUR.

FXGT makes deposits and withdrawals fast, secure, and hassle-free
The minimum deposit varies—$10 for Bitwallet and $5 for Sticpay and Neteller—and transactions are instant with no extra charges.
Near-instant local transfers are available in JPY for those using bank transfers, but the minimum deposit is $100.
One interesting feature is FXGT’s Loyalty Bonus for Mini and Standard+ accounts, offering a 25% deposit bonus up to $10,000 to boost trading power.
However, since these bonuses are non-withdrawable, they act similarly to leverage, which means they can also increase potential losses.
One drawback I noticed is the lack of cryptocurrency transaction support, which competitors like Eightcap and BlackBull Markets offer.
This is a downside for traders who prefer funding their accounts with crypto.

- Payment Methods: Apple Pay, Bitwallet, Credit Card, Debit Card, Google Wallet, Mastercard, Neteller, Sticpay, Visa, Wire Transfer

Assets & Markets
FXGT is growing, but its asset selection still feels limited.
With just over 185 CFDs, it covers multiple asset classes and suits different trading styles, but it falls short compared to brokers like CMC Markets, which offers over 12,000 instruments, or Interactive Brokers, with access to more than 10,000 US stocks and ETFs.
You can trade over 50 forex pairs, including major currencies like USD/EUR and GBP/USD, minors like AUD/JPY and EUR/CHF, and exotics like USD/TRY and ZAR/USD.
In the stock market, FXGT provides access to over 50 popular US stocks, including Amazon, Microsoft, and Tesla, giving exposure to some of the biggest companies.
You can speculate on over 10 global markets for indices, including the S&P 500, Dow Jones, and FTSE 100.
Commodity trading is also available, with five energy commodities and precious metals, including oil, natural gas, gold, and silver.
If you want to tap into the volatility of the crypto market, FXGT offers 30+ cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin.
While this selection covers the basics, I’d love to see FXGT expand its offerings.
Adding ETFs, options, bonds, and interest rate derivatives would make the platform more competitive.
More stocks from international exchanges would also appeal to traders looking for global opportunities or smaller-cap stocks.

Fees & Costs
FXGT’s fee structure is transparent and competitive, making it appealing to traders at all levels.
Most accounts don’t charge commissions and use variable spreads, though spreads can fluctuate depending on the asset.
The ECN Zero account is a standout for scalpers, offering ultra-tight spreads, but it does come with a commission of up to $6 per round turn. Even with this fee, the trading costs stay low thanks to minimal spreads.
Beginners may lean toward the Mini account, which has wider spreads but keeps things simple.
If you’re holding positions overnight, you need to be aware of swap fees, though FXGT does offer swap-free options.
The PRO account allows swap-free trading for up to six days on major forex pairs, metals, and energy commodities, while other accounts may extend swap-free trading for up to three days.
When using credit cards or e-wallets for deposits and withdrawals, you don’t have to worry about extra costs, but bank transfers might incur fees depending on the amount.
I really like that FXGT doesn’t charge for inactivity or other account activities, making it more cost-efficient in the long run.
Overall, FXGT’s pricing model works well for different trading styles. While there’s always room for improvement, it does a solid job of keeping trading affordable and flexible.

Platforms & Tools
FXGT stands out with its proprietary platform, FXGT Trader, which is available both as a web-based platform and a mobile app.
It is incredibly user-friendly, especially with its integration of the TradingView charting system.
For someone who values in-depth technical analysis, having access to 90 drawing tools and the ability to save chart settings across sessions is a game-changer.
It saves so much time and effort when analyzing the markets.

The FXGT Trader platform offers a smooth, user-friendly experience
FXGT Trader is perfect for beginners. The interface is intuitive and doesn’t feel overwhelming like some other platforms.
The advanced charting tools and the seamless chart-setting retention make it easy to stay organized while trading.
For those who prefer more established platforms, FXGT also supports MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5).
These platforms offer powerful trading features, including automated trading and various technical indicators.
They take time to learn, but once you master them, they can significantly enhance your trading strategy.
That said, I find their interfaces a bit outdated compared to modern trading platforms, and they could use some improvements to match current user expectations.
One of the standout perks FXGT offers is its VPS Sponsorship program.
If you meet the eligibility criteria—such as an initial $3,000 deposit and a sufficient monthly trading volume—you can access a Virtual Private Server (VPS).
This ensures that your trading terminal stays connected to the market, even if your device is offline, which is a massive advantage for serious traders.
Overall, FXGT provides a solid mix of user-friendly and advanced trading options, making finding a platform that fits your trading style easy.

Research
FXGT does a great job providing research tools that help you make informed trading decisions.
The in-house blog is packed with educational articles and trading strategies, making it a helpful resource when refining approachs.
Its market analysis also keeps you updated with technical and fundamental insights, including recaps and forecasts, so I always have a solid grasp of market trends.

FXGT’s market analysis offers insights and forecasts to help guide your trading decisions
The economic calendar is another valuable tool, helping you track upcoming economic events that might impact your trades.
While these tools are helpful, I’d like to see FXGT take things further by adding a real-time news feed and webinars.
These features would provide deeper market insights and make FXGT more competitive with top brokers like IG and eToro.
Education
FXGT offers no real educational resources, besides it blog, where you can find market updates, news, and trading tips.
While this is helpful, it falls short regarding structured learning.
No in-depth courses, webinars, or video tutorials may make it harder for beginners to build a strong foundation.
I’d like to see FXGT expand its educational offerings to cater to different learning styles.
Other brokers, like Axi and Swissquote, provide video tutorials covering essential topics such as market analysis and trading strategies.
For traders looking to deepen their market knowledge, more advanced articles on technical analysis and economic indicators would also be useful.
Adding live webinars would be a game-changer, allowing traders like me to interact with experts and gain real-time insights into complex concepts.
Customer Support
FXGT stands out with its 24/7 multilingual customer support, which makes it easy to contact staff through live chat, email, and social media.
The website’s live chat is the most convenient, but it can be frustrating when it doesn’t always appear when I need it.
It would be much better if the chat was integrated directly into the FXGT Trader platform so I wouldn’t have to switch back and forth between the website and my trading screen.
FXGT could also improve by adding a phone support option and expanding its FAQ section for quicker answers.
Regardless of account level, a dedicated account manager would also make the experience feel more personal and tailored to my needs.
Should You Trade With FXGT?
FXGT offers platforms that cater to different short-term trading styles, making it a solid choice for both beginners and experienced traders.
The Optimus account, in particular, stands out with its massive leverage of up to 1:5000, which can amplify profits and risks.
That said, FXGT is regulated by two low-tier authorities, providing only basic security.
If having top-tier oversight—like FCA or ASIC regulation—is a priority, this could be a drawback.
FXGT’s educational resources are also somewhat limited.
If strong regulatory protection and in-depth learning materials are essential, consider exploring other brokers offering higher oversight and education.
