Why Trade With Eightcap?
"Eightcap provides all necessary resources for traders, including an expanding array of charting platforms, educational programs in Labs, and the integration of AI-powered tools. With the addition of more than 120 cryptocurrency Contracts for Difference (CFDs), it has established itself as a preferred option for crypto trading. It has received our 'Best Crypto Broker' award consecutively for two years."
Detailed Ratings
Quick Facts
Pros
- In 2021, Eightcap expanded its offerings to include a wide range of cryptocurrency CFDs. They now offer pairs of cryptocurrency to fiat currency, cryptocurrency to cryptocurrency, along with cryptocurrency indices for more comprehensive market exposure.
- Eightcap offers a range of robust trading tools and resources, like MT4, MT5, the advanced algorithmic platform Capitalise.ai, and the 100-million user social trading network TradingView.
- Eightcap excelled in key areas for traders, surpassing all competitors to win our 'Best Overall Broker' award for 2024, and securing the 'Best Crypto Broker' and 'Best TradingView Broker' titles for 2025.
- Eightcap offers trading conditions that are both affordable and adaptable. They feature no spread charges, minimal commission fees, and offer high leverage of up to 1:500 for some clients. These flexible conditions cater to a variety of trading strategies.
Cons
- Eightcap should expand its collection of trading instruments to compare with top performers like Blackbull Markets, which offers over 26,000 assets. Currently, Eightcap's selection of commodities is notably limited.
- Eightcap does not provide popular tools like Autochartist or Trading Central. These tools are known for their advanced charting analytics, live news, and market insights for traders.
- While Eightcap's Labs offers a valuable collection of educational guides and e-books, it still falls behind IG's extensive resources for traders, including the IG Academy app and 18 different course categories.
- The demo account expires in 30 days and can only be renewed if requested. This is less convenient compared to XM, which offers an unlimited demo mode.
Regulation & Trust
Eightcap is a trusted broker with over 15 years of experience in the industry.
In Australia, it’s regulated by ASIC; in Europe, by CySEC; and in the UK, by the FCA, which gives me confidence in the safety of my funds, as they are kept separate in tier-1 banks.
However, for those using the Securities Commission of Bahamas (SCB) service, there are fewer legal protections and higher leverage options.
The lack of investor protection compared to FCA or CySEC regulations should be considered before choosing this option.

Accounts & Banking
Live Accounts
Eightcap offers a variety of accounts that suit different types of traders.
The Standard account is an excellent option for beginners with no commissions and spreads starting from 1.0 pip.
For more experienced traders, the RAW account provides lower spreads, even as low as 0.0 pips, but it comes with a $3.50 commission per lot.
You only need a $100 deposit to get started, which is much more accessible than brokers that require $200. Even so, some brokers like Fusion Markets and Axi have no minimum deposit amount.
The platform supports lot sizes ranging from 0.01 to 100, which is flexible enough for many trading needs.
Plus, it’s available in seven currencies, which is convenient for international traders.
If you’re based in the UK, you also get a TradingView Pro subscription, a nice bonus for extra charts and alerts to help with decision-making.
The only downside I encountered was that it took two days to activate my account after a quick sign-up, and my first attempt was rejected without any explanation.
Demo Accounts
Eightcap’s demo account lets you trade risk-free.
The broker gave me $5,000,000 in virtual funds to practice with, and the best part is it mirrors live trading conditions with real-time prices.
While the demo account only lasts 30 days, you can always extend it.
It’s a great way to refine strategies without worrying about real money on the line.
Deposits & Withdrawals
Depositing at Eightcap is easy and instant when using options like Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal.
The only exception is wire transfers, which can take up to three days.
I’ve experienced no fees on deposits, except for some bank wires.
Withdrawals are fast, usually taking 24-48 hours, and there are no fees.
The only thing to remember is that identification checks are done upfront, which is standard and helps avoid delays later on.
Accounts & Banking Details
- Minimum Deposit: £100$100
- Account Types: ECN, MAM
- Payment Methods: Bitcoin Payments, BPAY, Credit Card, Debit Card, Dragonpay, FasaPay, Neteller, PayPal, PIX Payment, Skrill, UnionPay, Visa, Wire Transfer
- Account Currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, SGD

Assets & Markets
Eightcap provides a solid selection of trading instruments, although it doesn’t quite measure up to competitors like Saxo, IG or Interactive Brokers.
You have access to 801 instruments on TradingView, including a strong offering of stock CFDs from blue-chip companies in the US, UK, Australia, and Europe.
What stands out is the 122 cryptocurrency assets available, which is significantly more than what platforms like CMC Markets offer, with only around 20 coins. Unfortunately, UK retail traders can’t take part.
Eightcap also offers 56 forex pairs and stock CFDs, with over 590 equities from major exchanges, but these are only accessible on MetaTrader 5 (MT5), meaning you miss out if you’re using MT4.
The platform also provides 16 global indices, including popular ones like the S&P 500 and Nasdaq, though it doesn’t include e-mini indices.
There are also 16 commodity CFDs, but there’s a lack of soft commodities and precious metals.
Leverage
You can use leverage up to 1:30 if you’re trading via the Australia or EU entities, but when you use the Bahamas service, leverage goes up to 1:500.
Margin calls happen at 80%, with a stop-out at 50%.
If you ever want to adjust your leverage, you can easily contact support, which is a handy feature, especially if you’re just starting or prefer a more cautious approach to risk.

Fees & Costs
Eightcap offers very competitive pricing, though it’s not quite as cheap as IC Markets based on our tests.
For example, with the RAW account, forex spreads can start at 0.0 pips, while indices like the S&P 500 are at 0.40 and gold at 0.12.
Oil starts at 0.03, and spreads for cryptocurrencies range from 0.0 for Bitcoin Cash to 12 pips for Bitcoin.
Stock trading has a spread of 0.02 per share, and a round trip costs $4 per lot.
That said, spreads can widen when market volatility kicks in or when liquidity is low.
The RAW account charges a commission of $3.50 per standard lot, which comes to $7 for a round-trip trade. And if you hold forex positions overnight, you might also face swap rates.
There are typically no deposit fees, though withdrawal fees can vary depending on the method. Bank wire withdrawals, for instance, may come with charges.
Unlike eToro or Interactive Brokers, Eightcap doesn’t pay interest on uninvested cash.
However, it does make up for this with lower overnight fees and no monthly inactivity fees.

Platforms & Tools
Desktop Platforms
If you’re looking for various trading platforms, Eightcap has some solid options, such as MT4, MT5, and TradingView.
I wish it offered cTrader for copy trading, but the MT5 WebTrader is a major plus. I appreciate that I can access full functionality from Eightcap’s website without installing software.

Eightcap’s MT5 WebTrader is fast, user-friendly, and packed with advanced charting tools
One of my biggest highlights is Eightcap’s partnership with TradingView, which it introduced in 2022.
TradingView is an incredible charting tool packed with over 100 pre-installed indicators and more than 50 drawing tools.
It also doubles as one of the largest social trading networks, making it great for market analysis and idea-sharing.
While advanced traders might lean toward MetaTrader for its automated trading and flexible order types, I personally find TradingView more intuitive, especially for beginners.
It’s also worth noting that Eightcap’s UK office is the only one dedicated to optimizing the TradingView experience, making it an even better choice for traders who rely on this platform.
Mobile Apps
When trading on the go, I use Eightcap’s mobile apps for MT4, MT5, and TradingView, which are available on iOS and Android.
They give you access to your account 24/7 and mirror the desktop experience.
However, I’ve found that using indicators and trading directly from charts on a smaller screen can be a bit tricky.
I mainly use mobile apps for quick market checks and trade management rather than full-on analysis.

Research
I love how Eightcap makes trading easier with tools like Capitalise.ai, launched in 2021.
It lets you automate strategies without needing any coding skills—just plain English commands.
Whether setting up a simple trade or something more complex, you can do it for free. I also find the ready-made strategies useful for testing risk-free before going live.

Eightcap’s AI-powered economic calendar tracks over 1,000 global events
While Eightcap doesn’t offer as much research as brokers like Interactive Brokers and Swissquote, adding tools like Autochartist or Trading Central could make a big difference.
I also use the helpful calculators for margin, profit, currency conversion, and pips, which help with planning.
For high-frequency trading, VPS support is a great option.
One of the best additions has been its AI-powered economic calendar, introduced in 2023.
It tracks over 1,000 macroeconomic events across 100+ countries, categorizing them by impact level.
It gives you a clear view of what could move the markets, a game-changer for staying ahead.
Education
Eightcap’s ‘Labs’ resources, which offer nearly 300 articles, guides, and eBooks, cover everything from MT4 and MT5 to TradingView.
Whether you’re just starting or looking to refine your skills, there’s a lot of valuable content.
However, it could expand the topics to match brokers like FOREX.com and XM.

Eightcap’s ‘Labs’ offers guides, market insights, and strategy tips
What stands out are the practical articles on short-term strategies and technical indicators—they’re super helpful for fine-tuning trades.
I also rate the live YouTube webinars, which break down upcoming market events and help me spot potential opportunities.
It’s a great way to stay informed, especially for newer traders.
Customer Support
I’ve had a great experience with Eightcap’s customer support team.
They’re available 24/7 and easy to reach through phone, live chat, and email in multiple languages.
Whenever I’ve used live chat, I’ve been connected to an agent in under a minute, which is much faster than most brokers I’ve dealt with.
While live chat is ideal for quick questions, more specific issues like adjusting leverage usually require email support.
I can call one of their local phone numbers or contact my account manager for anything urgent.
A dedicated manager is a huge plus—it adds a personal touch and makes problem-solving much smoother.
Should You Trade With Eightcap?
Eightcap is an excellent broker, especially with its integration of TradingView and Capitalise.ai for algorithmic trading.
The cryptocurrency selection is one of the best we’ve seen, making it an excellent choice for crypto traders.
However, the market selection is limited, and research materials could be improved.
Still, Eightcap continues to improve, and for what it offers, it remains a top-tier broker that delivers where it matters most.
