easyMarkets Review 2025
Why Trade With easyMarkets?
"easyMarkets offers fixed spreads starting at 0.7 pips, making it ideal for beginners needing predictable costs. With a Bitcoin-based account, it's also a great choice for crypto traders wanting to deposit, trade, and withdraw in digital currencies."
Detailed Ratings
Quick Facts
Pros
- easyMarkets introduced Bitcoin as a base currency in 2019, standing out in the market. This removes the need to convert crypto to fiat, lowering fees and simplifying management for crypto-focused traders.
- With over 20 years in the industry, multiple awards, and approval from two top regulators, easyMarkets maintains its reputation as a secure broker for active traders.
- Unlike variable spreads offered by most brokers we've tested, easyMarkets offers fixed spreads from 0.7 pips. This makes trading costs predictable, benefiting beginners and those trading in volatile markets.
- easyMarkets prioritizes risk management with negative balance protection, guaranteed stop losses, and dealCancellation (updated in 2024 to cover 1, 3, or 6-hour periods) in the Web Trader.
Cons
- easyMarkets does not provide a zero-spread account like Pepperstone. This can be a disadvantage for traders and high-frequency traders who need low transaction costs.
- easyMarkets offers comprehensive educational resources for beginners but does not meet advanced traders' needs. The Academy includes well-organized courses and engaging gamification, but the content is not detailed enough.
- easyMarkets lags as it lacks the copy trading features offered by category leader eToro. These features are popular among newcomers wanting to follow the strategies of experienced traders.
Regulation & Trust
easyMarkets is a well-regarded broker, having been around since 2001.
It is authorized by five regulators, which gives confidence in its operations.
The broker’s commitment to regulation stands out, with oversight from respected authorities like the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) and the Cyprus Securities & Exchange Commission (CySEC).
This level of regulation provides peace of mind, knowing there are strong protections for clients, including segregated accounts and negative balance protection.
Thanks to these measures, I know I won’t lose more than my deposit, even if there’s an unexpected market shift.
While some of the regulators, like South Africa’s Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), the Seychelles’ Financial Services Authority (FSA) and the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission (BVIFSC), are considered lower-tier, easyMarkets’ clear focus on security and regulation makes me feel secure.

Accounts & Banking
Live Accounts
easyMarkets offers three account types that cater to different trader needs.
- The Standard account, which was ideal when I started, requires a $25 deposit. It comes with fixed spreads from 1.7 pips on EUR/USD, account manager support, and analysis updates.
- The Premium account requires a $2,000 deposit for those with a bit more capital. It offers lower spreads starting at 1.2 pips on EUR/USD and 24/7 support, which I find helpful.
- The VIP account is designed for high-volume traders with a $10,000 deposit. It offers spreads from 0.7 pips on EUR/USD, same-day transactions, personalized account management, and access to educational resources.
High leverage is available up to 1:2000 for non-EU clients (depending on location and platform) or 1:30 for those in the EU, with a minimum trade size of 0.01 lots.
When I signed up, the account verification process was fast. After uploading my documents, everything was completed in just a few hours.
Demo Accounts
The demo account at easyMarkets is a fantastic way to get familiar with the platform.
Setting it up was simple—I only needed an email and password and was given $10,000 in virtual funds.
Unlike many brokers that limit demo accounts to 30 days, there’s no time restriction here. You can top up the balance anytime, so you’re free to practice and refine strategies at your own pace without feeling rushed.
Deposits & Withdrawals
You can choose from 19 base currencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), which gives me more flexibility than most brokers we’ve tested. eToro, for example, offers just three—USD, EUR and GBP.
The $25 minimum deposit is affordable, though UK users like me may face some limitations since debit card, credit card and wire transfer aren’t available.
Deposits usually take up to a day to process, but withdrawals follow strict Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules and are completed within a business day.
While easyMarkets doesn’t charge for withdrawals, you might encounter third-party fees when using crypto or e-wallets.

Assets & Markets
easyMarkets offers a practical range of CFDs, options, and forwards, which have expanded over time.
In 2015, it added 200 assets, and by 2019, stocks were introduced. The platform continued to grow in 2021 and 2022, and in 2020, cryptocurrencies like Stellar, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin were added.
However, it doesn’t provide passive investments or copy trading services like brokers such as XTB.
Even though these features are missing, easyMarkets offers a diverse selection of indices and cryptocurrencies, which isn’t always available on other platforms.
You can trade over 60 major and minor forex pairs, including EUR/USD and GBP/JPY, over 60 stocks from the US and Europe, like Microsoft and HSBC, and over 20 cryptocurrencies, including BTC/USD and ETH/USD.
There are also 19 precious metals, such as gold and silver, and 12 commodities, like oil and coffee, with leverage up to 1:20.
The indices section is equally diverse, with over 26 covering the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia, such as the FTSE 100 and DAX 40.
It would be great if easyMarkets added ETFs and bonds, and a copy trading feature so that you can explore passive investment strategies.

Fees & Costs
easyMarkets stands out for offering fixed spreads during market hours, a feature that less than 10% of brokers we’ve evaluated provide.
This provides some certainty about trading costs. However, its trading fees are higher than those of competitors like IC Markets.
For instance, the spreads on MetaTrader are tighter, with GBP/USD at 1.3 pips, whereas on its Web Platform, the spread on the same pair is 1.7 pips.
For those looking for more economical trading, the VIP MT4 account offers lower EUR/USD fees, as low as $7 per lot.
However, the $10,000 deposit requirement makes accessing many new traders harder.
There are no direct commissions, as the costs are baked into the spreads, but you need to be mindful of overnight fees.
One thing I’ve noticed is the inactivity fee. After 12 months of inactivity, there’s a $25 charge, and accounts with zero balances can be closed.
These fees are standard in the industry, but it’s something to remember, especially as some brokers like Interactive Brokers have no inactivity fees.
Unfortunately, easyMarkets doesn’t offer a zero-spread account, which brokers like Pepperstone do. For frequent traders, that could mean higher transaction costs.

Platforms & Tools
EasyMarkets offers four platforms: its own Web Platform, MetaTrader 4 (MT4), MetaTrader 5 (MT5), and TradingView.
The Web Platform is user-friendly, making it best suited for beginners. It offers valuable features like technical indicators from TradingView, market news, charts, and financial calendars.
I also like the exclusive tools, such as ‘easyTrade,’ ‘dealCancellation,’ and ‘Freeze Rate,’ which are great for managing risk.
‘DealCancellation,’ which has existed since 2016, is a standout feature. It now covers 1-, 3-, and 6-hour periods. While this is great for most traders, more advanced users might need more options for automated trading or plugin support.

The Web Trader platform is user-friendly and includes exclusive risk management tools
For a more traditional trading experience, MT4 and MT5 are available on both web and mobile.
These platforms allow quick trade execution and easy position tracking, but they don’t offer the full charting capabilities of the desktop versions. Still, they provide essential features like technical indicators and order management.
One thing to note is that features like guaranteed stop loss, ‘Freeze Rate,’ and ‘easyTrade’ are exclusive to the Web Platform. If these tools are important to your strategy, this platform is ideal.
Overall, the Web Platform is ideal for beginners because it is easy to use. TradingView and MetaTrader offer more advanced features for more experienced traders.
However, the lack of VPS services and Multi-Account Manager (MAM) and Percentage Allocation Management Module (PAMM) accounts might be a limitation for advanced traders who rely on automation and managing multiple accounts.

Research
EasyMarkets has excellent research tools. You can access daily market news, real-time currency rates, and a helpful financial calendar, which keeps me informed.

easyMarkets’ market news offers timely updates and insights to help you stay informed
The ‘MindsetMastery’ blog is particularly interesting, designed to boost your trading performance with expert insights, and simple actionable steps.
There’s even an AI section (powered by hoopsAI) that provides technical analysis of popular assets like stocks and ETFs, which is a nice touch.
While the platform doesn’t offer auto-generated signals like FXTM’s Signal Centre, it more than makes up for it with the Trading Central analysis available on its Web Platform.
Though I miss having webinars or podcasts like at Swissquote, the resources provided are enough to help me shape my trade ideas.
Education
easyMarkets offers solid educational resources for beginners, though there’s room for more depth.
The ‘Trading Course’ provides a well-structured course covering key topics like technical and fundamental analysis, which you can access after signing up.
The course includes engaging YouTube videos, downloadable e-books, and a handy ‘Trading Glossary’, which really helps me understand things.

easyMarkets’ courses provide a solid foundation for beginners with structured lessons
There are also gamification features like badges and certificates that make learning fun and rewarding.
While it’s great for beginners, there could be more in-depth content for advanced traders to explore.
Customer Support
easyMarkets excels with its 24/5 customer service through email and live chat.
I can usually connect with a live agent within seconds, which is impressive.
However, the fact that support is available in English only could be a limitation for some users.
Additionally, it offers support via social media platforms like Facebook Messenger, Viber, and WhatsApp, giving more ways to reach staff than many other brokers.
Unfortunately, there’s no 24/7 phone support for weekend queries.
Still, the FAQs are detailed and cover the most common questions, and I appreciate how the company values customer feedback to improve its service.
Should You Trade With easyMarkets?
easyMarkets stands out for its reliability, low minimum deposits, and fixed spreads.
There’s great variety of trading instruments it offers and an unlimited demo account, which makes it an excellent choice for beginners who want to practice without pressure.
The broker’s competitive spreads and solid platforms are also great for active trading.
However, the educational resources could go deeper, especially for experienced traders looking for more advanced insights.
