Pros

  • FxPro's Wallet is a key feature that lets traders manage funds securely. By separating unused funds from active trading accounts, it offers extra protection and convenience.
  • FxPro uses a 'No Dealing Desk' (NDD) model, providing fast and clear order execution, often under 12 milliseconds, suitable for short-term trading strategies.
  • FxPro provides four reliable charting platforms, including the user-friendly FxPro Edge, which features over 50 indicators, 7 chart types, and 15 timeframes.

Cons

  • Despite having a growing Knowledge Hub and a $10M demo account, FxPro is mainly for advanced traders, and beginners might find the account and fee structure complicated.
  • FxPro offers customer support 24/5 via multiple channels, performing well in tests, but it lacks 24/7 availability, which might be a drawback for traders needing help outside regular market hours.
  • There are no passive investment tools like copy trading or interest on cash. While traders may not miss these features, competitors like eToro offer more options for both active and passive investors.

Regulation & Trust

Rating: 4.4

FxPro was established in 2006, offering reliable and advanced trading solutions to traders in 170 countries.

One of the things I appreciate most is its strong regulatory oversight, which gives me confidence in its stability and security.

FxPro operates under multiple regulators worldwide.

It is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), one of the most respected financial regulators in the UK.

FxPro is also authorized by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) to ensure compliance with the EEA. In South Africa, it holds a license from the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), and it operates under the Securities Commission of The Bahamas (SCB).

Additionally, FxPro is licensed by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA).

This multi-regulation structure reinforces FxPro’s compliance, security, and stability commitment.

One feature I find particularly reassuring is negative balance protection, which prevents you from losing more than your account balance during extreme market volatility.

For added security, UK and EEA retail traders are protected by compensation schemes—up to £85,000 in the UK and €20,000 in the EEA—offering an extra layer of financial safety.

Accounts & Banking

Rating: 3.8

Live Accounts

FxPro offers a variety of account types, so you can choose one that fits your trading style and preferences.

For a beginner-friendly option, the FxPro Standard account is a solid choice.

It offers spreads from 1.2 pips, has no commissions, and doesn’t require a minimum deposit.

Plus, it works on MetaTrader 4 (MT4), MetaTrader 5 (MT5), and cTrader platforms, giving you plenty of flexibility.

If you’re looking for raw spreads without markups, the FxPro Raw+ account is a better fit.

It has a $200 minimum deposit and a $3.50 per lot per side commission, but the lower spreads can make a difference for active traders. This one is available on MT4 and MT5.

The FxPro Elite account combines raw spreads with rebates for depositors over $1,000, making it great for high-volume traders. Like the Raw+ account, it’s available on MT4 and MT5.

There’s also the FxPro Spread Betting account for UK traders, which offers a tax-efficient way to trade.

Spreads start at 1.3 pips, slightly higher than the Standard account, but the tax advantages can be worth it.

I also like that FxPro supports short-term trading, with minimum lot sizes from 0.01 lots and high leverage up to 1:2000, depending on your location.

Demo Accounts

FxPro offers a demo account with up to $10,000,000 in virtual funds—it’s an excellent way to practice trading risk-free before committing real money.

On MT4, MT5, cTrader, and FxPro Edge, you can test different strategies and get a feel for the markets. Each offers unique tools to match different trading styles.

The only downside is the 180-day limit, which might not be enough if you need more time to refine your approach.

Other brokers, such as Vantage, IG, Pepperstone, and AvaTrade, generally allow you to access a demo account with virtual funds for as long as you need without an expiry date.

Still, it’s a solid way to explore the platforms and build confidence before going live.

Deposits & Withdrawals

FxPro offers plenty of funding options for depositing into your trading account or FxPro Wallet.

Depending on your location, you can use a debit card, credit card, Google Pay, and even some cryptocurrencies, making it easy to manage  funds.

The minimum deposit is just $100 (or the currency equivalent), which is reasonable, although some brokers like OANDA and Interactive Brokers have no minimum deposit amounts.

FxPro doesn’t charge fees for deposits or withdrawals—though your payment provider might.

Withdrawals are usually processed within hours, but I’ve noticed bank transfers can take a bit longer.

I’d like to see multi-currency wallets with dynamic rates, which could make managing funds even smoother.

Assets & Markets

Rating: 4.0

FxPro specializes in CFD trading, making it an excellent choice for active traders.

The added benefit of spread betting with tax advantages is a plus for UK-based traders.

While the asset range is solid, it doesn’t quite match brokers like BlackBull Markets, which offers 26,000+ markets for more advanced traders.

You can trade over 70 forex pairs, including EUR/USD and AUD/NZD, and access over 2,000 stocks from major US and European exchanges, like Apple and Barclays.

Since 2021, FxPro has also offered 24/7 crypto trading, with over 28 pairs, such as BTC/USD and ETH/USD.

Precious metals are covered, too, with gold and silver.

You can also choose from over 18 global indices, including the DAX 40 and the Dow Jones.

There are three energy markets for commodities, including oil and natural gas, plus over 38 futures contracts for commodities like cocoa.

FxPro could expand further by adding ETFs, options, fixed-income securities, and interest-rate derivatives.

Like what eToro offers, a social trading feature would also be an excellent addition for those who want to follow experienced traders and explore passive investing strategies.

Fees & Costs

Rating: 4.0

FxPro offers competitive spreads, especially on the cTrader platform, which makes it an excellent option for active traders.

Spreads vary depending on the account type. MT4 has fixed spreads at 1.2 pips, while MT5 and cTrader offer variable spreads from 1.4 and 0.0 pips, respectively.

This flexibility is a big plus, especially for trading forex pairs, indices, metals, and energies at better prices.

However, FxPro’s fees aren’t the lowest compared to IG or CMC Markets.

One standout feature is that MT4 offers fixed spreads on nine currency pairs, including EUR/GBP and EUR/USD, which helps with cost predictability.

In 2022, FxPro reduced spreads by up to 20%, making it even more competitive for heavily traded assets.

You do have to watch out for extra fees, like overnight swaps and a $15 inactivity fee, which becomes a monthly charge if the account remains inactive.

Still, with its strong platforms and solid spreads, FxPro remains a top contender in the trading space.

Platforms & Tools

Rating: 4.3

FxPro offers versatile platforms that cater to different trading styles.

Thanks to their reliability and extensive tools, MT4 and MT5 are the go-to choices for many forex traders.

However, cTrader stands out with its customizable interface and deep market insights when I want advanced charting and algorithmic trading.

For spread betting, I find the proprietary FxPro Edge incredibly user-friendly. It’s web-based, commission-free, and accessible from any device without downloading.

Screenshot showing the FxPro Edge platform

FxPro FXEdge is a sleek Web platform for commission-free spread betting

I appreciate its simplicity and flexibility. It has 53 indicators, multiple chart types, and draggable take-profit and stop-loss levels that make managing trades effortless.

However, FxPro Edge lacks algorithmic trading and advanced analysis tools, which might not suit traders who rely on those features.

Compared to MetaTrader, it also lacks Trading Central and Autochartist signals, copy trading, and social trading, which limits its options for those who prefer a more interactive approach.

One thing I do appreciate, though, is FxPro’s fast execution speeds with minimal slippage, even when the markets are volatile.

If the broker added social and copy trading like eToro, it would make the platform even more appealing for beginners and passive traders.

Research

Rating: 4.0

FxPro’s research tools make trading more approachable for beginners.

Integrated Trading Central signals provide actionable insights based on technical analysis, helping you spot opportunities and key levels more efficiently.

With these tools built into MetaTrader and cTrader, I can quickly make sense of market movements without getting overwhelmed.

The economic calendar is another feature I rely on. It keeps me updated on major financial events, such as central bank announcements and earnings reports.

Screenshot showing FxPro's economic calendar

FxPro’s economic calendar lets you track key events in real-time

Plus, FxPro’s market news ensures I stay aware of global developments that could impact my trades.

That said, I wish FxPro offered real-time market analysis, regular webinars, or podcasts—something brokers like XM and Swissquote provide.

Adding these would make the research tools even more valuable.

For those who don’t have time to monitor the markets constantly, FxPro’s end-of-day email is a great alternative. It summarises key opportunities so you can stay informed without having to be glued to your screen all day.

Education

Rating: 4.0

FxPro makes learning to trade accessible with its free educational resources.

The materials cover trading basics, key market concepts, and trader psychology, and include a handy glossary and insights into high-frequency strategies.

Screenshot showing FxPro's education resources

FxPro’s education resources offer beginner-friendly tutorials

These guides help build a strong foundation if you are starting, but I wish the educational content were more in-depth.

Competitors like IG offer structured courses, interactive quizzes, and live webinars, which make learning more engaging and interactive.

I’d like to see video tutorials or step-by-step walkthroughs added, as they would help beginners grasp complex topics.

Introducing advanced trading strategies and market analysis techniques would be a huge advantage for traders looking to refine their skills beyond the basics.

Customer Support

Rating: 4.0

FxPro’s customer support is reliable and easy to access when you need help.

The 24/5 live chat, WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook Messenger, email, and phone support make reaching out during market hours simple.

Personally, I prefer live chat for quick answers on account setup and platform features because it’s fast and efficient.

Email support is professional and helpful for more detailed questions, though responses can take a few hours.

Phone support has been great, with knowledgeable representatives and a callback option.

The Help Centre’s FAQ is another go-to resource. It covers account setup, deposits, withdrawals, platform use, and trading conditions.

I’ve also found the video tutorials extremely helpful when learning platform features.

However, 24/7 support—like what IC Markets offers—would be a game-changer, especially for traders in different time zones.

I also think that dedicated account managers for all clients, not just high-volume traders, would improve the experience by providing more personalized assistance.

Should You Trade With FxPro?

FxPro offers a solid trading experience with quick execution speeds under 13ms, ensuring efficient and fast trades.

Competitive spreads, particularly on the FxPro Raw+ account, help give traders an edge when navigating the markets.

With access to popular platforms like MT4, MT5, and cTrader, the broker provides flexibility and versatility for different trading styles.

If you’re looking for advanced tools and strict regulation to support your short-term trading, FxPro could be a solid option.
