Nova Forex Review 2026: 12 Safety Red Flags
Nova Forex, also known as Nova Forex Trading, is an opaque platform offering binary options-style trading with a focus on Kenyan traders. We became concerned because it uses expiry times of just 10 seconds, trades are only on a custom asset (GLOBAL/USD), and crucially, it’s unregulated. So we opened a real Nova Forex account, placed over 55 trades, sent 14 test queries to support, investigated the company, checked user reviews, and documented our findings.

We’ve summarised the 12 key safety issues we discovered during our hands-on tests:
Make Full Width| # | Issue | What We Found |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Regulation | Not regulated by a trusted financial body nor Kenya’s CMA, despite targeting Kenyan residents. |
| 2 | Company transparency | No clear company behind Nova Forex, with no address, company name, or identifiable management team. |
| 3 | Age | ’www.novaforex.trading’ was registered on 13 March 2026 at 11:37:54 UTC. This is not enough time to earn a large user base or credible reputation. Be wary of claims of a long track record. |
| 4 | 50% welcome bonus | Offers a 50% bonus on deposits above KES 500, but there are no T&Cs, and bonuses can encourage over-trading. |
| 5 | GLOBAL/USD | This is the only asset you can trade, and the broker doesn’t explain how the price is derived. It appears broker-built and thus there’s a risk of manipulation. |
| 6 | Fixed 10-second trades | Price action across such short intervals is extremely difficult to predict – there’s too much noise. |
| 7 | Withdrawal claims | The website frequently updates with claims users have withdrawn profits in KSH, but there’s no way to verify these, and they give the impression that users regularly make money. |
| 8 | M-Pesa payments only | Most legitimate, trustworthy brokers offer multiple funding routes, including wire transfer and debit cards. |
| 9 | Customer support | Live chat is unresponsive, with not a single reply to our requests for details about the company, regulation, bonuses, and more. |
| 10 | User reviews | There’s no large library of verifiable user reviews pointing to its legitimacy. Trustpilot has mostly negative reviews for similar-sounding brands. |
| 11 | Broken features | The ‘Trade History’ panel wouldn’t show our trade results despite us placing 55 Buy and Sell trades. This is a serious technical flaw you won’t find on any decent trading platform. |
| 12 | Ineffective charting | Despite claiming to use TradingView charts, there are no options to add or change indicators, timeframes, or even the chart type, rendering direct technical analysis impossible. |
Regulation & Licensing
We checked the databases of every Category A body in BrokerListings.com’s regulator bandings, of which there are over 90, and found no evidence that Nova Forex is authorized.
This is in truth unsurprising, because binary options-style products are generally not allowed in many tightly regulated regions. It’s partly why we’ve expressly warned about trading high-risk binary options and the scammers they seem to attract.
Given that Nova Forex seems to target Kenyans especially (it only uses M-Pesa, a payment method popular in Kenya, and the currency used on the website and account area is primarily Kenyan Shillings (KES/KSH), though you can switch to USD), we also checked whether it’s authorized by Kenya’s Capital Markets Authority (CMA) on its List of licensees. As you can see below, it isn’t.
This does not necessarily make it a scam, but it does mean Kenyan traders may have zero recourse if the broker refuses to pay out withdrawals or disappears with users’ deposits, something we believe is a genuine risk. It also means Nova Forex Trading won’t be required to follow mandated safeguards like keeping client capital in segregated accounts from the broker’s own funds. Kenyan traders should stick with brokers authorized by the CMA.

Searches for ‘Nova Forex’ on the CMA’s List of Licensees return no results
Geographical observation: In our tracking of scam brokers in 2026, we noticed a surprising number seem to originate or target retail investors in Kenya. For example, we warned about TagOption and BetaBinary, which also offer fast-paced, binary-style trading products.
Despite its focus on Kenya, Nova Forex still appears to be operating globally without any relevant local authorization or via acceptable cross-border permissions.
We know this because we signed up for live accounts using IP addresses in the UK (it has no Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) license), Australia (it has no Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) license), and Canada (it has no Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) license) with the help of a VPN, and all our accounts were accepted and opened. And this is despite all three of these regulators banning binary options for retail investors.

Product Concerns
I have placed over 550 test trades on binary options platforms as part of our investigations, and I am 95% confident Nova Forex offers binary options all but in name. Worse still, its platform actually functions worse and with less transparency than other binary providers:
- Fixed 10-second trades: Most binary platforms let you change the expiry time, but Nova Forex has a restrictive focus on ultra-short-term 10-second market moves. It is therefore extremely difficult for even experienced traders to correctly predict moves over this window because of market noise.
- No payout percentage displayed: Most binary-style platforms show how much you stand to gain for a correct prediction. Let’s say you stake 50 KSH (where the minimum stake is 50 KSH and maximum stake is 1,000 KSH), and predict GLOBAL/USD will rise in 10 seconds by pressing ‘Buy.’ In this scenario, you’ll win 75% if you guess correctly, and your account will be credited with 87.5 KSH (50 KSH stake plus 37.5 KSH profit). However, Nova Forex doesn’t even tell users how much they might win, making it hard to predict and plan trades.
- Useless charting package: Despite showing a TradingView logo in the bottom left-hand corner of the chart (in our view, TradingView is an excellent charting provider), there aren’t any standard technical analysis tools. No indicators, no drawing tools, no choice of chart types, no selection of timeframes. So you can’t run real analysis in the platform or anywhere else because ‘GLOBAL/USD’ isn’t a standard asset. This means you’re essentially gambling while looking at a chart that, at the surface level, looks like a financial tool.
- Trade history doesn’t work: I placed 55 trades on the platform between 3 and 7 August 2026. I lost over 50%, yet not a single trade was stored in the ‘Trade History’ panel. It showed as empty every time I checked it. Unless you manually log every result, it’s extremely difficult to track your results, review your performance, and actually develop and evolve a disciplined trading plan.
- 50% welcome bonus: After opening an account, I could enter a promo code to get a 50% deposit bonus on first deposits over 500 KSH. Yet I could not find a terms and conditions document or link, and live chat didn’t reply to my queries on it, so I received no information on potential wagering requirements, i.e. how much you need to trade of the bonus credit before you can withdraw the funds, if you can at all. I would not touch this bonus. Many tightly regulated jurisdictions have also banned such incentives because they encourage reckless trading behavior in retail investors.

Trade results just flash up for a couple of seconds in the corner and then disappear
User Reviews
We searched third-party review sites, including Trustpilot and the App Store and Google Play (it claims it offers an app in the client area), but found no library of customer testimonials. This does not mean Nova Forex is a scam necessarily, but a large sample of user reviews, whether positive or negative, can indicate legitimacy one way or the other (if reviews haven’t been faked).
However, we do find this surprising. This is because Nova Forex has listed down the side of its website and the platform itself names of users who have supposedly made withdrawals. Given how often this updates, we’re surprised nobody has left an actual review on a site like Trustpilot. In addition, having this list next to the live platform is concerning, as it may give users the impression that other people are currently making money, and that their turn may be coming (it probably isn’t).
We also watched the supposed successful withdrawal messages for half an hour , and found the same names crop up again and again, such as “Were” and “Karanja”. It would be very unusual for the same traders to be repeatedly withdrawing cash in a matter of seconds or minutes.

The list of users who have “successfully withdrawn” is updated suspiciously regularly
Note, there are user reviews for similar sounding sites, such as ‘Nova Forex‘ at ‘nova-forex.com’ (this particular website is down and is a different entity). This is also true of several others, including ‘Trade Nova‘ at ‘trade-nova.com’ and ‘Nova Trade‘ at ‘nova-trade.com’, though the latter website is operational when we last checked, but relates to another broker/trading platform.
Also be aware there is another similar brand called ‘Nova FX’ at ‘www.novafxtrading.com’, but this platform does not look to be active any more. Its site may be operational still, but it has stopped regularly advertising and activities on its social media platforms (there were no posts on Instagram or Telegram since 2025 and February 2026 respectively last time we checked).
Actions To Take If You’ve Already Deposited
If you transferred funds to Nova Forex Trading, and upon use are now concerned it may be a scam or unsafe, there are steps you can take:
- Cease making deposits or providing personal information. Do not share any more personal details (you probably already provided your name and phone number to sign up). Don’t try paying using another payment method, either, as you may not get the funds back.
- Contact M-Pesa. If you used M-Pesa and believe you’ve been scammed, contact Safricom and see if they can help reverse the charge. This may not be possible, but it’s worth asking.
- Report Nova Forex. If you feel you have been mistreated or defrauded, and you’re a Kenyan citizen, report it to the CMA using the eCitizen portal, sharing specific details about claims or adverts made, funds deposited, and attempts to withdraw and get your money back. It could also be worth sharing your experience on third-party sites like Trustpilot to help warn other prospective users.
- Watch out for recovery scams: Be cautious about any law enforcement entity, ‘specialist recovery firm’, lawyer, or similar organization or person contacting you to say they can recover your funds. Even if someone says a ‘tax’ or ‘unlocking fee’ will release your capital, stop! You may lose more money. The industry is awash with recovery scammers.
Bottom Line
In our opinion, Nova Forex Trading should not be trusted. Having tracked thousands of online trading scams and personally run dozens of deep-dive investigations, Nova Forex shares many of the similar safety concerns we’ve seen elsewhere: no regulation, no transparency, an opaque trading product, questionable marketing, and broken platform features.
For these reasons, we’ve added Nova Forex to our warning list of unsafe trading brokers, where we’ve assigned it a 4/5 Danger Rating.
This Nova Forex review is for general information – it’s not financial or legal advice. It reflects the opinion of our scam experts, and we are not saying that Nova Forex Trading is definitely a scam, but we do have serious safety concerns. We have put these concerns to Nova Forex’s support team, and if they respond we will update this review where appropriate.

Nova Forex didn’t respond to a single question we asked, regardless of the day or time the message was sent
