Does LiteForex Have A Cent Account?

LiteForex Europe does not have a Cent account. On its CySEC-regulated site, you’ll find only two live accounts: ECN and Classic, each with a $50 minimum deposit. However, LiteFinance Global LLC, the brand’s offshore branch in St. Vincent and the Grenadines does have a Cent account. This account is only available to residents of 24 specific countries, outside the EEA.

What I Found At LiteForex Europe

I started by checking ‘liteforex.eu’. The Account Types menu on LiteForex Europe lists only ECN, Classic, and Demo accounts. The new-account selector in the client area also only shows ECN and Classic options.

I confirmed this through live chat as well. When I asked about a Cent account, the agent first asked for my location. After I said I was in the UK, the agent replied, “Unfortunately, we don’t provide Cent accounts for your country.”

This is not due to regulations. For example, FBS’s CySEC-licensed Cyprus branch offers a Cent account to EU clients with a €10 deposit and 1:30 leverage. LiteForex Europe just chooses not to offer one.

Tip: If you are in the EU, trading 0.01 lots on a Classic account at LiteForex Europe gives you the same 1,000-unit exposure as a Cent lot.

Where The Cent Account Confusion Comes From

A Cent account is available on LiteFinance, a sister site which is operated by LiteFinance Global LLC, a company registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Only residents of 24 countries, mainly in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, are eligible. Others must apply through a company representative, and LiteFinance may refuse applications.

There are two warnings to note. Russia is listed among the eligible countries, but the page’s footer says LiteFinance Global does not serve Russian residents, so get written confirmation first. Also, St. Vincent’s regulator does not issue forex licenses, so the CySEC protections mentioned in our LiteForex Europe review do not apply here.

Cent vs LiteFinance Classic: The Specs That Differ

Both accounts offer up to 1:1000 leverage, no commission, access to MT4 and MT5, swap-free options, and copy trading. Here are the differences:

How Cent Balances And Lot Sizes Work

If you deposit $10, MetaTrader will show a balance of 1,000 because it measures everything in US cents. One cent lot equals 1,000 units, which is the same as 0.01 standard lots, and is worth 10¢ ($0.10) per pip on EUR/USD. The minimum trade size of 0.01 lots is just 10 units, or 0.1¢ per pip.

For example, with a $10 account and one cent lot of EUR/USD open at a rate of 1.1000 and 1:1000 leverage:

  1. Position value: €1,000 × 1.1000 = $1,100.
  2. Margin: $1,100 ÷ 1,000 = $1.10, shown as 110.
  3. Spread: 3 pips × 10¢ = 30¢, so equity opens at 970.
  4. Stop out: positions close at 50% of margin, which is 55¢.
  5. Room: 970 − 55 = 915¢, or 91.5 pips of room before the trade closes.

With the 0.01 lot minimum, a 100-pip loss only costs 10¢. This makes the Cent account ideal for testing an Expert Advisor (EA) or trading strategy with real trades, but with very small amounts of money.

How To Open A LiteFinance Cent Account

The Cent account does not appear in LiteFinance’s Account Types dropdown. To open one, begin directly from the Cent account page:

  1. Check if your country is on the list. If it is not, do not select a different country — your ID documents will reveal the mismatch, likely when you try to withdraw funds.
  2. Click “Open account CENT”. The link preselects a Cent MT4 account.
  3. Register and confirm your email address.
  4. Choose MT4 or MT5, USD-¢ or EUR-¢, and leverage from 1:1 to 1:1000.
  5. Verify your ID and address under LiteFinance’s AML/KYC policy.
  6. Deposit at least $10. Your balance should show 1,000. If it shows 10, you have funded the wrong account type.
  7. Check the contract size in MetaTrader by right-clicking EUR/USD and selecting Specification. It should display 1,000.

What It Costs Compared With LiteFinance Classic

A Cent lot and a 0.01 lot on a LiteFinance Classic account both equal 1,000 units, so the only difference is the spread. At the advertised minimums, the Cent account costs $0.30 per round trip, while the Classic account costs $0.18, which is 40% less. The Cent account is not a cheaper way to trade, but it is a cheaper way to get started.

Three catches:

  1. Watch out for the 100x habit trap. One Cent lot is $0.10 per pip, but one full lot on Classic is $10 per pip. A 20-pip stop that costs $2 on Cent will cost $200 on Classic, so remember to divide your lot size by 100 when you move up.
  2. Cent accounts close positions at a 50% margin level, while LiteFinance’s Classic account closes at 20%. With 1:1000 leverage, this gives you about 3 pips less room on EUR/USD — with 1:100 leverage, it is about 33 pips less.
  3. There is a one-lot ceiling and fewer platform choices. The maximum is 100 Cent lots, which equals one standard lot, and only MT4 and MT5 are available — not cTrader or LiteFinance’s own terminal.

Who It Suits, And The EU Alternative

The Cent account suits traders in the 24 listed countries who want to test strategies with real money, but in very small amounts. Scalpers should probably avoid it, since the 3-pip minimum spread takes up much of a 5- or 10-pip target.

Traders in the EU can achieve the same 1,000-unit trade by using a 0.01 lot on LiteForex Europe’s Classic account.

This option requires five times the deposit but gives you more room to trade, though it cannot match the 10-unit minimum many EAs need.
