Pros

  • The Crypto.com Exchange platform provides advanced bots like Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA), Time-Weighted Average Price (TWAP), and Grid Trading bots. Traders can automate strategies, including leveraged perpetual trades, reducing manual work and slippage.
  • Crypto.com uses a cold wallet system with multi-signature technology and geographic distribution to improve security. This method ensures strong protection of user assets with secure offline storage.
  • The platform offers unified tracking for cryptocurrencies, stocks, ETFs, and prediction markets within one interface, making multi-asset management simpler and providing combined insights.
  • Crypto.com now offers more than 9,000 stocks and ETFs in some regions, allowing traders to create diverse portfolios across various sectors.

Cons

  • The app has high bid-ask spreads on many coins, which can be expensive for traders using market orders. Wide spreads mean the buying price is significantly higher than the selling price, reducing profits, especially in low-volume trades.
  • Customer support mainly uses chatbots and email, with limited reliable phone support from our testing. This may cause delays in solving urgent issues like account access or transaction problems, which can be frustrating for crypto traders needing quick help.
  • Fees apply to crypto and fiat withdrawals, which can be significant for active traders making smaller transfers. The minimum withdrawal limits are also high, limiting flexibility in managing smaller portfolios or immediate liquidity needs.

Regulation & Trust

Rating: 3.8

Crypto.com is trusted with operations stretching back to 2016, when it launched as Monaco Technologies GmbH before rebranding to Crypto.com in 2018 when it acquired the domain.

Its regulatory credentials are strong, with authorization in multiple regions, including:

  • US: Through its Nadex/CDNA derivatives entity as a Designated Contract Market (DCM), license number 34536; as a Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), license number 38; and via its US broker-dealer (Foris Capital US LLC) on FINRA BrokerCheck, CRD# 282331.
  • Singapore: MAS Financial Institutions Directory listing for Foris DAX Asia Pte. Ltd. (Major Payment Institution – Digital Payment Token Service), directory entry 250069.
  • Hong Kong: SFC Public Register entry for Foris DAX HK Limited (Applicant), identifier BUT252.
  • Dubai (UAE): VARA Public Register – VASP licence VL/23/10/003.
  • Australia: ASIC Professional Registers search – AFSL/licence no. 467462.

Crypto.com’s extensive client base also provides some peace of mind, with over 150 million clients globally and ratings of over 4/5 on the App Store and Google Play.

Live Accounts

Crypto.com offers one live account that provides access to its suite of services for individual investors (App, Exchange, Onchain).

Unsurprisingly given its mobile focus, you can sign up from your mobile by scanning the QR code on its website or finding the app from the respective app store.

You’ll need to verify your phone number and email address, and then verify your identity for know-your-customer (KYC) checks. When we went through it, we had to provide copies of our ID, proof of address and do a biometric check. It’s a bit slow and admin heavy but it’s the price you pay for security and it’s pretty common at most well-regulated brokers.

You can fund and manage your account in a range of base currencies depending on your country, including USD, EUR, GBP, AUD and HKD.

What is fairly unique is its ‘Level Up’ program, with ‘Plus’, ‘Pro’ and ‘Private’ tiers that reward those that pay the respective monthly or annual subscription fee with various perks, including greater interest on idle funds and stock transfer bonuses.

There are also some extras like Crypto.com bank cards in some regions. These let you spend in fiat currencies like US dollars and earn cashback in crypto – built for true crypto believers.

Deposit and withdrawal options vary by region but can include bank transfers, bank cards, and mobile wallets. Minimum deposits vary by method (some as low as around $1), so too do withdrawals, but we noticed the minimums at this stage can sometimes be much higher than when you deposit.  Users can fund accounts by crypto also, just keep in mind there may be payment charges and delays before they hit your account.

Demo Accounts

Crypto.com is unusual in that it doesn’t have a demo trading account for most of its services. This is a notable drawback, especially when most brokers, including many crypto firms, support such a feature. The exception is for US traders who want to try the broker’s Strike Options.

Still, Crypto.com isn’t really suitable if you want to get a feel for the exchange platform and charting tools before making a deposit. This should be a consideration for active traders who don’t want to jump to running technical analysis on an unfamiliar platform.

Assets & Markets

Rating: 4.0

As the name suggests, Crypto.com offers an extensive selection of digital tokens, including hundreds of pairs with crypto-only assets and crypto-fiat pairs. While it’s not the largest line-up we’ve seen, it’s still a place for serious crypto enthusiasts who want more than just the big names like Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Doge.

The app makes it easy to drill down into tokens that may be of interest with categories like ‘Memes’, ‘AI’, ‘DeFi’, and ‘Liquid Staking’, with the ability to set a ‘Favorites’ list.

As well as spot trading it offers over two-dozen crypto baskets for broader exposure, earning and staking, plus over the counter (OTC) trading for some clients.

Where Crypto.com differs from some of the other top crypto firms we’ve tested is its access to markets beyond crypto, making it a better fit for traders who are also interested in equities and alternative products like prediction markets.

Over 9,000 stocks and ETFs are available on the app and there are interesting extras like the ability to pick a ‘Whale’, such as Warren Buffett, and mirror their trades from $50.

Alternatively, fractional shares let beginners or those with less capital invest in expensive stocks at a smaller entry point. Securities lending also provides a route to passive investing.

Crypto.com began offering prediction markets in 2026 to US residents, providing yes/no contracts on various events, such as presidential elections, sports games, and economic announcements like Fed decisions. With binary style questions, access from $10 and the ability to fund predictions in fiat currencies or by converting crypto, Crypto.com caters to a broad set of retail investors.

Crypto.com’s Strike Options, available in the US, are fairly unique too, because they deliver a binary-like, all-or-nothing outcome (settle to a fixed value or $0) with capped risk, but traded on an exchange-style, CFTC-regulated venue where pricing reflects live market probability. You can also often exit early, which is different from the preset-payout mechanics we often see in the OTC binaries offered by many offshore firms.

They should also appeal to clients of what was Nadex. Nadex’s CFTC-regulated retail binary options were folded into Crypto.com, with the standalone Nadex platform retiring in December 2025. This effectively moved US-regulated retail binary trading into the Crypto.com app.

Fees & Costs

Rating: 3.3

The worst thing about Crypto.com is that fees are fragmented across products and apps, so the real cost depends on what you’re trading and where you place the order. It was confusing for us to collate, evaluate and compare with alternatives, so beginner traders may feel puzzled when starting out with the app.

Importantly, Crypto.com can be cost-effective if you’re an active trader using Exchange products and getting volume discounts. However, it can be pricier than alternatives if you casually buy and sell cryptos on the app, outside of the Exchange.

Here’s a breakdown of the key costs, though note that fees can vary by region, product, tier, promotions, and market conditions.

  • Stocks & ETFs: $0 commission to open or maintain stock trades (US regulatory fees may still apply, and transferring securities out can cost $100). It sits amongst other commission-free brokers with pricing that will attract casual stock traders.
  • Crypto spot and derivatives on Exchange: Tiered maker/taker % fees that vary by 30-day volume and CRO-related tiers/benefits. It’s a fairly low cost provider for its Exchange services, especially if you qualify for volume discounts.
  • Crypto buying/selling (not the Exchange): Pricing can include spreads/price differences vs external markets, while spreads and fees can vary depending on the specific token, liquidity and execution conditions. Fees here can be on the high side due to market spreads, plus the lack of transparency may deter active traders.
  • Prediction Markets: Per contract — $1 contracts: $0.02 exchange fee to open (and $0.02 to close early), with settlement fees waived when the position settles in-the-money; $10 contracts: $0.10 exchange + $0.10 tech to open/close, with fees waived at in-the-money settlement. Its prediction market pricing is competitive.
  • Strike Options: Fixed per-contract exchange plus technology fees (e.g. fees like $0.15 exchange + $0.14 tech for some Strike products). Its Strike Options pricing is competitive because it ultimately provides more transparency and regulatory oversight than you get at most offshore binary providers, where price/payout manipulation can be more common.

Platforms & Tools

Rating: 4.0

Crypto.com’s App and Exchange don’t deliver the same trading experience. From our testing, the App feels like a slick finance super-app for funding and account management, while the Exchange is where the tools for active traders really live.

The app itself overall is excellent – a unique design, fast and responsive, great for moving funds, buying crypto or navigating features, and even placing simple trades like limit orders, recurring buys and investing in its proprietary products like Crypto Baskets.

But the Crypto.com Exchange is where serious traders will feel at home. It offers more advanced conditional orders like Stop-Loss, Take-Profit, and OCO (One-Cancels-the-Other), plus crypto trading bots.

For latency-sensitive strategies like day trading, it also supports REST, WebSocket, and FIX APIs for faster trading and better access to data.

The Exchange has a TradingView-powered package, something we’re increasingly seeing. It’s easy to see why when you’ve spent a few hours trying it – it’s a step up from the basic charts some crypto firms offer, with more technical indicators, drawing tools, chart timeframes, plus access to the vast global TradingView community.

Research

Rating: 3.8

Crypto.com does offer some research tools, but it’s more market intelligence than sophisticated technical analysis. It’s also missing social sentiment data that other firms offer.

Its Research Hub publishes macro and sector reports, such as market sizing and monthly briefs. I read its 17-page report on ‘Crypto Market Sizing 2025’. It was an interesting read but it’s not going to inform the trading decisions of many aspiring investors.

Its Market Updates provide more regular news roundups and dashboards. The upside is they’re often cleanly written, easy to skim, and cover trending topics like BTC and ETH moves. The downside is they’re not as deep or as actionable as competitors that run heavier research desks and more institutional-style commentary.

Education

Rating: 3.8

Crypto.com’s education is pretty solid. It has a Crypto.com University and Learn Hub with explainers, guides, and structured learning programs (often with quizzes and ‘missions’ inside the app).

There’s some useful content, especially if you want to learn about Bitcoin or understand industry terminology. But I’ve read quite a few of the guides and they don’t introduce many fresh angles and the University hadn’t been updated with new content in months during our last check.

For US traders, it’s actually the educational content on prediction markets, which remains a fairly novel product, that could be most useful, as some of the guides clearly explain how the trades work with real-world examples from the Crypto.com platform.

Customer Support

Rating: 2.5

Customer support at Crypto.com leaves a lot to be desired from our tests. It’s mainly self-serve through the Help Center, which is fine for casual traders but the lack of prompt resolution via telephone will frustrate some active traders.

The Help Center is fairly comprehensive, especially for important topics like security (setting up 2FA), but we noticed a lot of it is geared towards the products they want clients to use or upsell, such as their bank cards or the ‘Level Up Experience’.

The problem for active traders is that you can’t pick up the phone if you run into a high-stakes problem, such as the platform crashing during trade placement (not something we saw during testing but could happen).

We also had a frustrating experience using the live chat with generic, often basic responses that didn’t give us much confidence that someone would be there to resolve a serious technical or payment-related issue should we run into one.

Should You Trade With Crypto.com?

Individuals looking for a finance app that does it all (or a lot), should consider Crypto.com, especially if they want to manage it all from their mobile phone. There’s cryptos, stocks, ETFs, and bank cards, not to mention an impressive suite of other products like spot trading, bots, APIs, and its Exchange for serious traders, who also benefit from more competitive pricing.

Additionally, Crypto.com is a particularly good fit for those in the US wanting to trade binary-style products through its Strike Options or Prediction Markets. Both offer alternative ways to speculate on financial markets and broader events with upfront risk and predetermined payouts. And they’re products most brokers simply don’t offer.

But these come at the cost of support that trails many brokers, plus research and educational tools that are average.

Normally we’d recommend starting with a demo account, but since one isn’t offered at Crypto.com, stick with a small deposit to test the app.
