While the global brokers below accept Indian residents, they are not authorized by the SEBI or RBI, and don’t provide local regulatory protections. Using a no deposit bonus still carries risk, is unsuitable for beginners, and is best used to test a strategy or broker.

How We Chose The Best No-Deposit Bonuses In India
- We checked for no-deposit trading bonuses at over 55 online brokers. Brands had to offer a bonus you could access without making a starting deposit. Lots of brokers had general trading bonuses, but these often required funding an account first, so they were removed.
- We made sure shortlisted bonuses were definitely available to residents in India. We confirmed this by checking directly with each broker’s support team, saving screenshots for evidence, and/or signing up for an account and opting in to the offer using an IP address in Mumbai. Several deals were removed at this stage.
- We investigated the no deposit bonus in detail. We found the terms and conditions for each offer and read every word, documenting the key rules, especially in relation to whether you can withdraw the bonus credit itself and profits generated from the credit, plus any time restrictions. You can read the results of this investigation in the comparison table above.
The final list shows our highest-rated forex brokers with no deposit bonuses that we’ve confirmed as 100% available in India, complete with all the key T&Cs and risks residents need to understand before deciding whether to opt in.

No Deposit Forex Bonuses That Are NOT Actually Available
Many comparison websites show outdated information on no-deposit offers in India. To give residents up-to-date information, below are widely publicised offers that we’ve verified are not currently accessible in India either because they’re no longer active, they aren’t actually available to Indian residents, or they require a deposit first.
« Make Full Width »| No Deposit Bonus | Forex Broker | The Reality |
|---|---|---|
| No Deposit Bonus ($30) | HFM (HotForex) | Discontinued yet often listed in comparison tables as an active $30 NDB. HFM discontinued this promotion for most regions (including India) long ago, replacing it with deposit match bonuses. |
| Sign-Up Bonus ($100) | xChief (ForexChief) | Sometimes advertised as a “rare no deposit bonus of $100”. The terms require a very high turnover of $10,000,000 (roughly 100 standard lots) just to unlock withdrawal rights for the bonus. |
| Welcome Account ($30) | Tickmill | Advertised as “no deposit needed”. In reality, it opens a temporary demo-style account. To claim any profits made, you must open a real account and deposit at least $100 of your own money. |
| Welcome Bonus ($30) | JustMarkets | Heavily promoted across Indian-serving pages as a free $30 credit. However, to withdraw any profit, you must trade 5 full standard lots within just 30 days. Trading 5 standard lots on a small $30 margin is very difficult without a margin call, often forcing a deposit. |
| Free Account ($30) | Windsor Brokers | Often advertised in India as “no deposit needed.” The fine print heavily restricts the withdrawal of profits until a trader completes 20 round-turn trades or more. |
| Level Up Bonus ($70 – $140) | FBS | Listed as a no-deposit bonus on some comparison pages aimed at Indian residents. FBS globally discontinued this promotion. |
Can I Withdraw A No Deposit Forex Bonus?
Not easily. The biggest catch some traders miss is that you can’t typically withdraw the bonus credit, and to withdraw any profits you’ve made trading with a no deposit bonus, you need to trade a certain amount, and it’s often a lot.
For example, Finotive Markets (an offshore broker we don’t recommend) was offering a $50 no deposit bonus, marketed as ‘$50 promotional credit’. However, when we combed through the terms and conditions, as you can see below, we discovered you had to trade at least 8 standard lots before you could withdraw any gains.
Now in forex, one standard lot represents 100,000 units of the base currency, so 8 lots represent around $800,000 in cumulative nominal trading volume on currency pairs such as EUR/USD. That is a significant amount of trading, particularly for inexperienced traders, who may overtrade or trade recklessly to try and reach that threshold.

Are No-Deposit Forex Bonuses Legal In India?
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) does not explicitly say that no deposit bonuses (or other trading promotions) are illegal. However, sending money overseas to fund margin trading forex accounts is not allowed in line with the 1999 Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
Some global brokers accepting Indian traders are also on the RBI’s Alert List. And even though the providers listed on this page are not on the Alert List, they still aren’t authorized by the RBI.
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the country’s chief financial regulator, effectively doesn’t permit bonuses for domestic online trading within India. This is because SEBI’s Advertisement Codes for registered entities (re-codified in circulars like SEBI/HO/MIRSD/MIRSD-PoD-2/P/CIR/2023/51) ban the use of games, leagues, and misleading freebies, with that last one likely applying to no deposit bonuses.
It says advertisements “shall not contain statements which directly or by implication or by omission mislead the investor” and must not promise “unrealistic returns”. A “$30 no deposit bonus” that has a substantial turnover requirement may fall foul of these rules. You can also check our list of SEBI-regulated forex brokers.
In a nutshell, Indian laws don’t expressly call out no-deposit trading bonuses as banned, but they are effectively restricted because domestically authorized brokers can’t offer such incentives, and using an offshore forex broker that offers margin trading and provides such offers is not allowed under FEMA.
Some Indian residents still choose to use no-deposit bonus brokers based overseas knowing this, but it’s important to be aware of the risks. Notably, no local regulatory protection, possible bank account freezes if you send money to overseas forex margin accounts under the RBI’s Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS), and you may be falling foul of wider FEMA rules and face enforcement action, although reports of this are rare.
Should I Use A No-Deposit Forex Bonus?
They can be suitable if:
- You want a small amount of capital to test a forex trading strategy in real market conditions, including live spreads and execution.
- You want to explore a particular broker’s trading platform, infrastructure, and user experience while trading in a real account.
- You understand that withdrawing profits generated from a no-deposit bonus is often difficult due to turnover requirements.
- You may not have any protection from Indian law enforcement or regulators in the case of disputes.
- You are aware that you’re unlikely to be able to withdraw the bonus credit itself.
They are unsuitable if:
- You’re an absolute beginner who doesn’t understand that free trading bonus credit can encourage over-trading.
- You don’t use disciplined risk and wallet management processes, such as stop-loss levels and risk-to-reward ratios per trade.
- You think you’re likely to be able to withdraw the bonus credit and easily extract any gains generated from the bonus credit.
- You’re not willing to read the no-deposit bonus terms and conditions yourself before signing up and opting in to the offer.
