Quick Verdict
Neither PrimeXBT nor Exness accepts traders from USA. Instead, we recommend Interactive Brokers, a top-rated alternative that impressed our team during testing and accepts traders from your location.
PrimeXBT is stronger for multi-asset speculation, especially crypto futures, forex and short-term trading. Exness is stronger for account choice, banking, research and multilingual support.
Both brokers offer CFDs, crypto, MetaTrader 5, demo trading, negative balance protection and 24/7 support. Neither is a full-service investing broker for ETFs, bonds, options or large direct-share portfolios.
PrimeXBT has expanded PXTrader 2.0 to 350+ instruments, added 24/7 gold trading, and cut selected spreads. Exness has lowered Raw Spread and Zero account pricing, added hot equities such as SpaceX CFD after its IPO, and continues to offer free VPS access for qualifying automated traders.

Regulation & Trust
Exness offers the stronger overall trust profile due to its longer operating history since 2008, compared with PrimeXBT’s 2018 launch, and its wider global regulatory footprint. It uses segregated client accounts, negative balance protection and PCI DSS data-security controls.
We followed the entity and licence links for both brokers rather than relying on footer labels. PrimeXBT’s structure includes FSCA South Africa, FSA Seychelles, FSC Mauritius and El Salvador digital-asset authorisations, while its Saint Lucia company is a registration rather than a frontline trading licence.
PrimeXBT provides solid extra safeguards, including cold storage, multisignature custody, negative balance protection and a Financial Commission fund of up to $20,000 per complaint. However, it is not publicly listed, has no banking licence, and client protection changes sharply by the entity used.
Exness also has limits to its protection. Its FCA and CySEC permissions serve institutional and B2B business rather than retail CFD clients, it has no investor compensation scheme, and retail clients may be onboarded under FSCA, CMA Kenya or offshore entities.
Both brands face clone-scam risks, so we checked their official safety guidance and regulator notices. PrimeXBT publishes direct regulator links and a Safety Centre, while Exness users should avoid social-media contacts, including fake Telegram and WhatsApp representatives.
Accounts & Banking
Exness has the more complete account and banking setup. Its Standard and Standard Cent accounts start from $10, while Pro requires $200, and Raw Spread and Zero accounts give active traders more pricing choices.
We opened the Exness onboarding flow with Google login, confirmed email and phone details, and uploaded identity and address documents. Verification finished in less than one day.
Exness provides a flexible demo with $10,000 in virtual funds that can be adjusted. Its Standard Cent account is useful for tiny positions, but it only supports forex and metals and has just six base-currency options.
PrimeXBT offers a free demo across PXTrader 2.0 and MT5, which let us compare platform layouts, hedge and netting settings, financing labels and crypto-collateral features before committing funds. Its account lineup includes MT5 Standard, Swap-Free and Pro, with MT5 Pro offering spreads from 0.1 pips, a 0% stop-out level and leverage up to 1:1000.
PrimeXBT has 100+ payment methods, including cards, e-wallets, local methods, crypto and SWIFT transfers. Neteller, JazzCash and EasyPaisa were added with zero transaction fees, Skrill supports $5 to $5,000 transfers with instant withdrawals, and a ZAR account was added through the South African entity in March 2026.
We traced the withdrawal rules before funding. PrimeXBT normally sends money back through the method used to deposit, which can be frustrating if a card refund route, e-wallet or crypto network is unavailable; Exness payments are usually instant and free, although Skrill and Neteller can take about 30 minutes and Bitcoin or Tether can take up to one hour.
Assets & Markets
PrimeXBT provides the broader and more specialist market range. PXTrader 2.0 lists 350+ instruments, including 99 forex pairs, 14 commodities, 19 indices, 16 share CFDs, 34 crypto CFDs and 154 crypto futures.
We used the market lists to move between major FX pairs, US indices and cryptocurrencies from one account. The layout made macro crossover trading simple, but the share section was a clear weak spot: 16 share CFDs is small beside the crypto and forex range.
PrimeXBT also added 24/7 gold trading on PXTrader 2.0, including weekends. This is a notable option for traders who want to manage gold exposure outside normal exchange hours.
Exness is still strong for currency trading, with 100+ forex pairs alongside crypto, commodities, indices and stock CFDs. It has added high-interest stocks such as SpaceX after its IPO, but its individual-stock selection remains limited.
Neither broker offers a full investment catalogue. Exness does not provide ETFs, options or bonds, and neither platform is built around direct share ownership or passive income on idle cash.
Fees & Costs
PrimeXBT is the better value for active CFD and forex traders when its advertised tight-spread conditions are available. Its MT5 Pro account uses spread-only pricing, with promoted spreads from 0.1 pips, and crypto-futures maker and taker fees start at 0.01% and 0.045%.
For a comparable 1-lot EUR/USD trade, where one pip is about $10, a PrimeXBT Pro trade at a 0.1-pip spread costs about $1 total with no commission. An Exness Standard trade from 0.2 pips costs about $2, while an Exness Raw Spread trade at a 0.0-pip spread costs about $7 round trip from its $3.50-per-side commission.
PrimeXBT simplified crypto CFD pricing in September 2025 by moving to spread-only charges on PXTrader and MT5. It then cut selected EUR/USD and US500 spreads by up to 90%, though overnight CFD financing and crypto-futures funding every 8 hours can raise the cost of longer holds.
Exness remains very competitive, particularly for traders who need near-zero spreads or swap-free conditions. It charges no inactivity fee and waives most deposit and withdrawal charges, although processors may charge small fees for some e-wallet and crypto transfers.
We compared the account cost displays before choosing an order ticket. Exness presents several spread and commission models, which gives experienced traders control but can confuse new users; PrimeXBT makes the main CFD pricing simpler, but funding charges need careful checking before holding overnight.
Platforms & Tools
The platform choices are closely competitive, but they suit different users. PrimeXBT focuses on its modern PXTrader 2.0, while Exness gives traders MT4, MT5 and the simpler TradingView-powered Exness Terminal.
We placed short-term orders on PrimeXBT across major currency pairs, US indices and popular cryptocurrencies. PXTrader 2.0 delivered fast order handling, and we set stop-loss and take-profit levels directly from the ticket without needing to leave the chart.
PrimeXBT’s flagship platform supports 100+ indicators, unlimited indicator use, TradingView charts, drawing tools, adjustable leverage, and hedge or netting mode. The March–April 2026 PXTrader 2.0 push also brought a more unified account design, while Extended Swap-Free status became visible in web and mobile accounts.
We switched between chart tools and order settings on PrimeXBT’s mobile app. Its dark layout is clean, but limited chart space on smaller screens, unfamiliar lot sizes for new users, and slippage during fast markets created real friction.
Exness Terminal is easier for a first-time trader to understand, with a clear watchlist, TradingView charting and live account controls. We found its layout less intimidating than MetaTrader, although it does not include Renko charts and its research tools are not built directly into the terminal.
Exness has the stronger automation route through MT4 and MT5, plus free VPS hosting for clients with a $2,000 balance, or a $500 balance and $1.5 million monthly trading volume. PrimeXBT provides MT5 and strong manual-trading tools, but does not match that VPS offer.
Research
Exness offers the deeper research package. It combines Trading Central signals, FXStreet news, an economic calendar, a trading calculator and a live currency converter.
We used the Exness calculator to check pip value, margin, spreads and commission across account types and leverage settings. It is practical for planning position size, although the economic calendar needs better filters and the research links require extra navigation outside Exness Terminal.
PrimeXBT has improved sharply with its Discover hub, Trading Central ideas, in-house market research, price charts and a funded-account economic calendar. We opened trading ideas that showed price targets, pivots, support, resistance and charts, then checked the calendar’s actual, forecast and previous figures.
PrimeXBT’s research feels more joined up for chart-led trading. Exness gives a wider set of calculation and third-party news tools, but it lacks the same depth of in-house market commentary.
Education
PrimeXBT gives beginners more material to read and learn from. Its education library has around 30 article pages, a glossary, and topic sections for technical analysis, day trading, copy trading and beginner basics.
We worked through more than 11,000 words of PrimeXBT learning content and used the glossary to check trading terms. The information is useful, but it is arranged like a library rather than a step-by-step course, so new traders must build their own learning path.
Exness explains platform functions and basic terms clearly through its Help Center, and its adjustable demo account supports practice. However, it has no structured courses, webinars, video lessons or detailed beginner programme.
Both brokers leave a gap for people who need full lessons on risk control and trading plans. PrimeXBT is the better starting point, but neither replaces a well-organised trading academy.
Customer Support
Exness provides the stronger support service with 24/7 live chat in 15 languages. It is especially helpful for global users who need assistance in a language other than English.
We contacted Exness live chat about withdrawal fees and received a clear reply within minutes. We then emailed a more detailed VPS question; the reply took a few hours, but it explained the access requirements well.
PrimeXBT also offers 24/7 live chat and email, plus separate general and technical channels. We asked its team about entity protections, instruments and platform tools, and the agents gave informed answers, but the live-chat response took close to four minutes, not the 30–35 seconds promoted on its site.
PrimeXBT’s help centre is well divided into verification, account management, deposits, withdrawals, trading and rewards. Exness lacks phone support and dedicated account managers, while PrimeXBT requires an email address before users can reach a live agent.
Is PrimeXBT or Exness Better For Beginners?
Exness is the better choice for beginners. A $10 Standard or Standard Cent account, an adjustable $10,000 demo, a simple Exness Terminal and fast multilingual support make the first steps easier.
PrimeXBT also has a free demo and better written learning material, but its wider product menu, crypto futures, platform choices and payment-method matching rules can feel more complex. Exness education is thin, so beginners should still take time to learn risk management before trading live.
Is PrimeXBT or Exness Better For Experienced Traders?
Exness is the better fit for experienced automated forex traders. MT4 and MT5 support algorithmic workflows, while qualifying clients can use free VPS hosting to keep automated strategies running.
PrimeXBT is a strong alternative for experienced discretionary traders who want crypto futures, CFDs and macro markets in one place. Its MT5 Pro account, 0% stop-out setting, hedge or netting controls and PXTrader 2.0 charting are useful, but there is no comparable VPS or API-led setup in its offering.
Is PrimeXBT or Exness Better For Short-term Traders?
PrimeXBT is the stronger option for short-term traders who want low promoted CFD spreads and access to crypto futures. A 1-lot EUR/USD position at a 0.1-pip spread works out at roughly $1 in spread cost on MT5 Pro, before any slippage.
We used its rapid order ticket, adjusted stops and targets, and moved between crypto, FX and index charts with little delay. Traders should still plan around slippage in volatile sessions, and should not hold crypto futures through repeated eight-hour funding events unless that cost is part of the strategy.
Exness is also a strong day-trading broker, especially through Raw Spread or Zero accounts and leverage up to 1:2000. Its commission structures need more attention, while PrimeXBT’s spread-only approach is easier to read for many frequent traders.
Is PrimeXBT or Exness Better For Long-Term Traders?
Exness is the less costly option for traders who may leave an account inactive, because it charges no inactivity fee. It also supports more than 40 base currencies, which can reduce needless conversion costs for investors who fund in local currency.
Neither broker is ideal for classic long-term investing. They do not offer broad direct-share dealing, ETFs, bonds, options, auto-investing plans or interest on uninvested cash.
PrimeXBT can still suit a long-term macro trader who wants bitcoin, gold, oil, indices and forex in one account. Yet leveraged CFD financing and crypto-futures funding can make long holds costly, so it is better for active position management than buy-and-hold investing.
Is PrimeXBT or Exness Better For Trading On Mobile?
Exness is the better broker for mobile trading. Its app experience is supported by a clean proprietary terminal, direct account controls and a simpler layout for checking positions or placing quick orders.
PrimeXBT’s app is capable and has improved with Discover integrations and visible Swap-Free account status. However, we found that smaller chart space, lot-size differences and occasional fast-market slippage made the experience less smooth for frequent mobile-only trading.
Why Pick PrimeXBT Over Exness?
Pick PrimeXBT for its 350+ markets, especially its 154 crypto futures, broad forex list and 24/7 gold trading. It is also a compelling choice for active traders who want spread-only CFD pricing, TradingView charts with 100+ indicators, copy trading and a single place to trade crypto alongside traditional markets.
MT5 Pro is another draw for traders seeking spreads from 0.1 pips, high leverage and a 0% stop-out setting. Check the legal entity, withdrawal route and overnight funding terms before depositing.
Why Pick Exness Over PrimeXBT?
Pick Exness for its wider account range, $10 entry point, Standard Cent account, 40+ base currencies and largely instant funding options. Its support covers 15 languages around the clock, while Raw Spread, Zero and Pro accounts give active forex traders several ways to control costs.
Exness is also better for traders who want MT4, MT5, a simple TradingView-powered terminal and qualifying VPS access for automated trading. Its main limits are sparse education, no phone support, and no ETFs, bonds or options.
